Consider trying the local dining options instead of hotel meals, as the food can be hit or miss, especially during busy hours.

Charming Spot for a Short Getaway
A lovely stay with breathtaking views! The staff provided exceptional service, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Try the breakfast for delicious locally sourced options, but arrive early to ensure freshness. Parking in the rear is convenient, just be mindful of the limited spaces. Perfect for exploring Whitby.

Cozy and Convenient Stay!
Just spent a night here and it was a pretty good experience! The staff were super friendly and helped me with the car parking. My room was comfy, and the shower was massive, best I’ve had! Only downside was the room view wasn’t great—faced the loading bay. Breakfast was tasty too!

A cozy seaside getaway
I stayed for 5 nights in a nice double room with a sea view. The staff were super friendly, especially Aniko in the restaurant, who helped with my food allergy. The breakfast was really good! Only thing was the tiny lift – it felt a bit cramped when everyone tried to use it.

The stay at The Royal in Whitby had its ups and downs. The sea view from the room was absolutely stunning. Sipping coffee while gazing at the waves was a highlight. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience feel welcoming. the lift situation was frustrating. It was small and felt outdated, making it an inconvenience for those with mobility issues. Some areas of the hotel also looked worn and could definitely use some refurbishment. Breakfast options were decent, but I did notice some inconsistencies in the food quality during dinner. Cleanliness could have been improved, particularly in the corners of the bathroom. it was a mixed bag, but the location and views were hard to beat.

Perfect for a getaway with friends
We had a lovely stay, the room was clean and surprisingly spacious. The buffet breakfast was amazing, they even made scrambled eggs on request, which was a nice touch.
It wasn’t cheap but still fine for what we got.
